- Dress for Success: I realize that this is a cliché but it is so true! When you are dressed well, you feel better about yourself, you boost your confidence and you look respectable to your potential clients. It also helps to make a good first impression!
- Be Sincere and Observant: Clients can tell when you are not genuinely interested. Take an interest in their story, ask questions and let them know that you are there to find the product that will fit their needs the best.
- Know your Products: You should be very familiar with all of the products you sell. Be sure you know all of the details about each product so you can answer any questions your potential client may have, and you will be able to find the best product for that person.
- Be Aware of Your Behavior: Don’t be too boisterous or overbearing, but don’t be too distant either. You want these clients to trust you and to find you friendly. Pay attention to your body language; be sure you are not sending the wrong signal!
- Like Your Job: If you are passionate about helping the client, they will know it. Remember you are making a difference in the lives of every person you sell to.
