IMPORTANT INFORMATION ALL AGENTS SHOULD KNOW!
Note: The following carrier must have the agent’s first insurance application sent with the contract to NAA: American Equity
“JUST IN TIME CONTRACTING”
Question? What does the term “Just in Time” mean? “Just in Time” is a term used by carriers, which means the carrier will not appoint you with them until your first piece of business is received. NAA submits contracting to the carrier and the carrier holds the contracting until you first business is received.
Question? When I call the carrier, they are telling me I am not in their system. Why is that happening when NAA is saying my contract has been submitted? Please give the carrier at least 10 business days to load you in their system. Some carriers that practice “Just In Time” do not load you in the system until they receive your first business so they do not see you in the system as an agent until you have business in house.
The appointment process at the state could take up to 14 days from the submission of your contracting.
Contracting for agents in pre-appointment states are processed when received and are exceptions to the “Just in Time Rule” Note: Please contact contracting@support.naaleads.com if you are in a pre-appointment state and you have not received notice of your appointment after the 14 day waiting period.
Please DO NOT call the carrier requesting the status of your contracting. You will receive a letter from the carrier once you have been appointed.
Applications: Applications can be downloaded for all carriers through www.naaleads.com. You may use your SSN as an identifier on your first application.
Note: * A list of products approved per state is provided on www.naaleads.com on each carrier’s page.
Carriers that practice “Just in Time” contracting are: CFG, F&G, Baltimore Life, Phoenix, ING Life, Kemper
Important Reminder: Please direct all questions to your upline manager. Your manager will contact NAA contracting headquarters concerning your contracting status if necessary.
NAA agents should NOT contact the carriers direct concerning contracting status.
Banking Information
Monumental will not accept pre-paid check cards, the agent must have a physical bank account. All other carriers accept pre-paid cards.
PHX and MON will not accept counter checks. The primary information (name, address etc…) must be professionally printed on the voided check. The agent will need to provide a letter from the bank verifying the account and routing numbers if a professionally printed voided check is not available at the time of contracting.
